Charles Reasoner has been creating and illustrating books for over 25 years. With over 400 books to his credit, he was given the Parent's Choice award for his series of Sliding Surprisebooks and has received the Newberry Award for his work in multi-cultural folktales.

Karen Sapp

Illustrator Karen Sapp graduated from Kingston University in 2003 with a degree in Illustration and has worked as a full-time freelancer ever since. Her artwork is created very traditionally through her distinctive application of acrylics, which with their rich colours and textures, are perfectly finished and capture a strong essence of fun.

After graduating from the Falmouth College of Arts in 2003, Illustrator Cathy Shimmen has worked as a freelancer, creating fun characters and imagery for the children's market. She has worked on the The Usborne Book of Poems for Young Children and The Butterfly, also by Usborne. Her most recent work is The Winter Prince, part of the Make Believe Ideas Read with Me series designed to encourage the less confident reader.
