Illustrator Daniel Howarth graduated from Bristol University in 1994 with a BA Hons degree in Graphic Design, specialising in illustration. After working for King Rollo Animation, notably on Spot and Maisy, he went freelance and has worked with the UK's top book publishers. His work has also been featured on CBeebie's Bedtime Hour.

Dubravka Kolanovic studied painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design, USA, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. Her career as an illustrator began at the age of eighteen when she won the Golden Award for her first picture book at the "Written and Illustrated by" competition in America.

Illustrator
Illustrator Daniel J. Mahoney gave up his career as a fully-qualified X-ray technologist to pursue his love of drawing. His first published title, The Saturday Escape (Clarion) has been followed by several other picture books for the same publisher, and he has created illustrations for clients in the educational market, including Scholastic, Weekly Reader Magazine and McGraw-Hill.

Author Corinne Mellor has written several humerous books for children, including the 3-D titles Clark The Toothless Shark and Bruce the Balding Moose. A freelance author who combines writing with a career in mobile communications, Corinne lives in the Wye Valley with her husband, son, cats, dogs, horses, geese, ducks, and sheep!

Croatian-born illustrator Andrea Petrlik Huseinovic graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and has illustrated over forty books in Croatia, Slovenia, South Korea, the UK and US. Her books, the Blue Sky and Ciconia Ciconia are the most popular books at the International Children's Digital Library in the USA, and her artwork from Alice in the Wonderland is part of the International Collection at the Chihiro Art Museum, Japan.

Author
Previously an editor at Dorling Kindersley, Suffolk-based Erin has since turned her attentions to copywriting and is a prolific author for Tide Mill Press. She particularly enjoys writing for younger audiences, using her love of rhyme to create enjoyable and quirky stories. Erin lists jogging alongside her enjoyment of writing, which she describes as "the best ever cure for writer's block!"
